Zotero Word Plug In adds an extra footnote

Whenever I add a citation via the zotero word add in, the program adds both the expected citation as a footnote and a second footnote with the contents "{Citation}"

What the hey is going on?

    What Zotero version, what plugin version, what Word version, what citation style, what mode (fields/bookmarks)?

    Word 2007.
    Was doing it with Plug in 1.0b3(2) and Zotero 1.0.9;
    So I switched to Plug in 1.0(b)4 and Zotero 1.5 Preview, still doing it. (I saved my zotero library as instructed, but the plug in upgrade is un-doable, unfortunately)
    Citation style: Chicago Manual of Style (Full Note with Bibliography) as field, Bluebook as field... trying to find style that allows bookmarks as footnote, but didn't locate one.

    Bookmarks in footnotes are broken in OpenOffice, so Zotero doesn't allow you to select a note-based style in bookmarks mode.

    the extra foot note (and end note, I tried that too) occurs in both new and existing documents.
    In line citations (non endnote and no footnote formats) do not make the same mistake.

    I have the same problem in Word 2002, using Word plugin 1.04b and Zotero 1.5 preview.

    The problem only seems to occur in the Chicago styles, at least that I've seen. The first footnote adds correctly by itself. All the subsequent footnotes come in with the correct citation and an extra footnote that says "{citation}".

    The MLA style doesn't seem to be a problem.
