Upgrade StorageRestoring Zotero library not working
Thanks in advance for your help! I'm on a new hard drive and I am trying to restore the Zotero library from my previous Firefox installation. I have followed the instructions, but it doesn't work.
OK, so: I have my old Firefox profile from the previous hard drive, and I have my new Firefox profile from the fresh install.
I confirmed that Zotero opens just fine (but is empty) with the new profile. Then I closed Firefox.
Per the instructions on restoring a Zotero library, I went into the zotero folder of the new profile and replaced the "Storage" folder and the zotero.sqlite folder in the new profile with those from the old profile.
The error I get when I try to open Zotero is: "The Zotero database cannot be opened. Make sure you have read and write permissions for all files in the Zotero data directory."
I have confirmed that I have read and write permissions for all files in the Zotero data directory (Windows 7).
I have been at this for an hour. Help!

You've tried restarting the computer to be sure?
May also be worthwhile trying to disable any security software for testing.
