Import MSWord Bilbliography to Zotero

I am trying to import the bibliographic information from an MSWord file into Zotero. The directions on the Zotero help page say that this is possible, but the document has to be imported as an "ris" or "bibtex" file. Unfortunately, I cannot figure out how to save the document in these file formats. I've also reviewed the various discussion threads on the Zotero forum, but they're hard to follow.

Is there an easy solution to this? Any assistance is much appreciated.

You can follow the instructions here to export your Word bibliography to BiBTex, then import the BibTex to Zotero.

Thank you. I ended up resolving this issue through another method. My friend exported and then I imported the MSWord file as “Endnote XML.” It worked seamlessly.

Word exports Endnote XML now? Or did they use Endnote in a step?
