ALL page numbers gone after changing citation stlye

Hey all,
I'm using Zotero in Word for Mac 2011, on a mac OSX 10.6.8.

I'm using in text citations, like (Hattie 2008:11). So far, I've been entering the page numbers manually, as I haven't found out any other way.

PROBLEM: after changing the citation styles in the document (Zotero --> Set document preferences --> citation styles) ALL the page numbers I entered manually are gone.

Any suggestions how I can fix this? (cmd + Z didn't do the trick)

    You'll likely be able to get the page numbers back by using cmd+Z a sufficient number of times (or reverting the doc to the last saved version if all else fails) but you won't be able to both change the citation style and keep your manually edited citation numbers. Manual edits get overwritten on citation style changes.
