Upgrade StorageWhere will Zotero go when Firefox abandons XUI
According to the Mozilla blog, firefox will introduce the WebExtensions API and deprecate add-ons that depend on XUL, XPCOM, and XBL.
So, I am very worried about what will happen to Zotero which is heavily based on these original add-on technologies.

From what I gather, the exact way forward depends on the details of the API, but it's either going to be porting Zotero to the API or to have a standalone app with a Firefox connector (similar to the existing Chrome/Safari one).
