BibTex

Hi,

this is my first attempt to use Zotero and as far as I went to search for how to import BibTex it seems impossible, is that right? or I´m missing something ?

I was trying to make a reference for

http://citeseerx.ist.psu.edu/viewdoc/summary?doi=10.1.1.11.9028

then I´ve selected Create a New Item From The Current Page

but the most important details where in the box

BibTex
@INPROCEEDINGS{Mccarthy59programswith,
author = {John Mccarthy},
title = {Programs with common sense},
booktitle = {Semantic Information Processing},
year = {1959},
pages = {403--418},
publisher = {MIT Press}
}

weren´t imported.

Thanks

    Welcome to the forums! Don't use 'Create New Item from the Current Page', that saves a snapshot of the Citeseer page as you're looking at it rather than importing the bibliographic info of the reference.

    If you're on the page you link to, you will see an icon appear in the right corner of the FireFox address bar which, if you hover over it, says "Save to Zotero (COinS)". Click that icon and the reference will be imported into your library.

    If you're new to Zotero, it never hurts to take a quick Zotero tour. Also, the documentation may answer some of your questions; see for example "Getting stuff into your library".
