Combining Chapters for Dissertation

I am wondering if anyone has advice on combining chapters into one document as a dissertation, in order to generate an accurate bibliography.

Is there a way to get Zotero to reset notations between chapters, in other words, giving the full note versus the abbreviated one, or ibid?

Thanks!
  • Not a very easy way to do this. I think My recommendation would be to assemble to document twice:

    1. Assemble it with all Zotero citations intact, insert a bibliography and copy the bibliography or save it to a new file

    2. A second time with copies of the chapter files in which the Zotero field codes have been removed. That will, obviously, reset footnotes since they won't update as you assemble the document.

Then add the bibliography from 1. to the file created in 2.
