American Antiquity

The style for "American Antiquity" has two minor errors in the output format: 'Website' and documents downloaded from it "Electronic Document" are is being formatted this way:

Estrada Belli, Francisco
2001 Archaeological Investigations at Holmul, Guatemala Report of the First Field Season, May-June 2000Unpublished Electronic Document. Foundation for the Advancement of Mesoamerican Studies (FAMSI).

1) It is not an unpublished source as indicated in the American Antiquity style
2) There is no interpunction between the "title" and the "Unpublished Electronic Documents.
3) Also the URL associated with that document is not given when citing websites

Can anyone update American Antiquity and correct these errors?
Best, Christian
  • So how should this look?
  • According to the offical style Web Pages and Electronic documents should have this outputformat (http://www.saa.org/Portals/0/SAA/Publications/StyleGuide/StyleGuide_Final_813.pdf):

    Glascock, Michael D.
2001 Archaeometry Laboratory at MURR. Electronic document,
    http://missouri.edu/~glascock/archlab.html, accessed April 12, 2002.

    Northwest Research Obsidian Studies Laboratory
2001 XRF Information. Electronic document, http://www.obsidianlab.com, accessed April 12, 2002

so, the example I have given as follows:

    Estrada Belli, Francisco
2001 Archaeological Investigations at Holmul, Guatemala Report of the First Field Season, May-June 2000. Electronic Document, Foundation for the Advancement of Mesoamerican Studies (FAMSI), http://www.famsi.org/reports/98010/98010EstradaBelli01.pdf (accessed August 21,2015).
  • got it thanks. I'll try to fix it asap.

I am new to Zotero and trying to figure out formatting.

When I add the bibliography into Word, it looks like this...

    Griffith, G E, S A Bryce, J M Omernik, J A Comstock, A C Rogers, B Harrison, S L Hatch, and D Bezanson
2004 Ecoregions of Texas (color poster with map, descriptive text, summary tables, and photographs). Map scale 1:1,205,000. U.S. Geological Survey, Reston, Virginia. Electronic document, ftp://ftp.epa.gov/wed/ecoregions/tx/tx_front.pdf (front side) and ftp://ftp.epa.gov/wed/ecoregions/tx/tx_back.pdf (back side), accessed December 20, 2015.

    Vehik, Susan C
2002 Conflict, Trade, and Political Development on the Southern Plains. American Antiquity 67: 37–64.

2003 Islands and Patches in the Plains. In Islands on the Plains: Ecological, Social, and Ritual Use of Landscapes, edited by Marcel Kornfeld and Alan J Osborn, pp. 303–320. University of Utah Press, Salt Lake City.

...but, it should look something like this...

Hampton, David R., Charles E. Summer, and Ross A. Weber
1978 Organizational Behavior and the Practice of Management. 3rd ed. Scott,
    Foresman, Glenview, Illinois.

    Any pointers?
  • formatting isn't well preserved on the forums -- you'd need to either describe the problem or post a link to a screenshot.
