Website Format Different from Before and Less User Friendly

When I initially signed up for Zotero three days ago, it was exceedingly user friendly, just like in the quick start video. For the past two days, when I sign in online, the interface is totally different and far less user friendly. Instead of having three columns (collections, saved citations, detail of current citation--like :34 into the quick start guide), it just has a panel with tags on the left and a list of my citations on the right. In the original version, I could click on a citation and see the other notes, snapshots etc contained under that parent without leaving the main page, now each time I click a citation, it takes me to the full entry. Adding notes or new entries is more of a hassle and it's generally less user-friendly.

Hoping there's an easy fix because I was very happy with the initial product but am now feeling frustrated.
  • What you're looking at now is zotero.org, the website, but you're thinking of the Zotero software that runs on your computer. How you open that depends on whether you installed Zotero for Firefox (in which case you open it from the Z icon in the Firefox toolbar) or Zotero Standalone (in which case you open it like any other program on your computer).
  • Phew! I knew I was accessing it via firefox the other day (since it didn't show up in my applications folder), but I couldn't get back to that screen. SO appreciate your speedy response and patience with me as I learn the system. :) This is a huge relief. I'm just thrilled about the product and plan to use it exclusively moving forward.
