Feature Request - Check Box Column

One feature that would really help me is to have some way of marking an article as "read". Assigning a color to a row would work. Having a checkbox column type and associated check box in the detail of an item. I suppose I could tag it as "read" but that wouldn't be as visible in a list view. What do some of you do? Or are your memories just more developed?

Zotero does have colored tags. I use those:
