"The attached file could not be found"
Dear Zotero devs.
Ever since an upgrade of Firefox some weeks (months?) ago, I've been struggling with this error messages in Zotero standalone. I wonder that something dreadful has occurred with my profiles, as the files are still attached to the item within the online library.
The Debug ID is D873463282.
Having searched for instructions on the fora already I've
a) searched my hard drive for storage\2JUWE7G7\ - found on the output of the debug ID submitted to the zotero server
b) installed Zotero standalone on my Mac and reset the library from the server.
Regarding a) the folder was never found on C:/. Regarding b) the new library on the new installation also provides this error (Debug ID: D1220997894.
I'd love some advice as to how to restore the attachments to my standalone copy(ies) of Zotero, and also: how to update the server side with the items (and files) that I've added subsequent to the beginning of this problem.
Thanks so much in advance,
Naomi

Beyond that, see Files Not Syncing.
(Note that you don't need to use Restore from Zotero Server for a new installation of Zotero, and you shouldn't use it for troubleshooting.)
Seems to have done the trick. Many thanks,
Best,
Naomi
