Zotero Error--I don't know what any of this means

Happens when I start Zotero.

Component returned failure code: 0x80520008 (NS_ERROR_FILE_ALREADY_EXISTS) [nsIFile.create]

Do you have your Zotero data directory or the 'storage' directory within it symlinked to another location?

I do have my storage folder symlinked...but it has never been a problem in the past...

I still don't get what is going on here. Any guidance?

I believe this can only happen if the symlink is pointing to a nonexistent location. I can reproduce this OS X by making 'storage' a broken symlink.
