Customize Note Editor

Hi,

I'd like to use my own choice of text editor when I create a Zotero note. Specifically, when I click add note, I'd like Zotero to open up a new emacs frame. Of course, when I save I'd like it to do the right thing.

Does this exist already or should be a feature request?

Doesn't exist. No need for a separate feature requests -- devs read every thread, so this counts.
My sense would be that it's not something anyone would be working on in the foreseeable future, though I'd expect patches to be welcome.
