Upgrade Storageusing zotero to cite a discussion board post
Is it possible to use Zotero to save/cite a discussion board/ forum post?
it is one of the options under "new item" but it opens up a new record like it wants you to enter all of the information manually and there is no icon in the url bar like there usually is for zotero. Had this problem with PDF files from google also.

Zotero can't, unfortunately, recognize things like forum posts automatically, so you do indeed have to add the information manually (though you can consider using right-click --> Save as Zotero Snapshot to save it as a webpage and then adjust accordingly).
For PDFs, you can just drag the icon at the left of the URL to Zotero and then, if they're academic PDFs, use https://www.zotero.org/support/retrieve_pdf_metadata. Otherwise you'll have to enter the information manually.
