Harvard - Edge Hill University style

I want this style to be updated in order to comply with my University requirement.
See the instruction from my University as I quote below:

"Also note that the first time that you cite a source with between three and five authors (e.g. Seffah, Djouab and Antunes) you need to supply all the surnames, after which you use et al."

How can the above statement be implemented in the Harvard - Edge Hill University syle? All other features of the above named style are working fine but I want the stlye to be able to accomodate the above instructions.
  • What is this for? I'm not seeing this in the Edge Hill U style guide.
  • I want a situation that whenever I first cite a source with between three and five authors, the style should list all the authors surname, but should recognise to only add et al. in the subsequent citation in the same work.

    For example:
ADE, D., DIDI, S., KOKO, K., KUKU, M., and MIMI, E., 2000. Creative cameraphone usage in urban regions. In: Proceedings of the 50th international conference on Mobile Human-computer Design and interaction. IEEE. pp. 151–160.

To be cited fist in the research work as
(Ade, Didi, Koko, Kuku and Mimi, 2000)

But if I wish to cite the same source subsequently in the same paper, it should cite it as:
    (Ade et al.,)

I want the approach to be applied to source between three and five authors in Edge Hill U style.

    Thanks
  • I understand what you want. I was asking you what you need it for, since it doesn't seem to be required in the Edge Hill U style.

If you want to customize the style yourself, you can look at the code change here: https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/pull/1569/files
  • My University required that format for my PhD work. I am presently writing my PhD thesis.
  • What are the steps to customize the style?
  • @sujava: Here is a view of the change that will be needed for that, for reference. You will also need to change the name and ID of the style, so that it is not overwritten by the repository version in your Zotero.

@adamsmith and @fbennett: Thanks for the guides. The problem has been solved.
  • @adamsmith and @fbennett: How do I change the name and ID of the edited style? Because it used to overwrite it with the old one each time I refresh zotero.
  • It's explained here (the page linked above by adamsmith).
  • Thanks. The problem has been solved.
