    Hello everyone,
I have the impression to be really stupid to ask: but how to install Zotero? My computer is on linux 13.10, 32 bits to present quickly it.
When I try the download with "Zotero for Firerox" I have a message who prevent me that it's impossible because my version of firerox (30.0) are not compatible with the plugin.
And when I try with "zotero standalone" so I succeed to install it and my browser ask me to start again the page, but when it open again I don't see anywhere in my toolbar the "Z" sign.
I go to my module and I don't see it, I search on the file and I see I have a file named "Zotero_linux-i686" but I dont know what to do with this. Actually I'm not good at all with the terminal and this kind of thing, so I don't know what to do to install Zotero on browser and on libreoffice.
So if you have a clue thank you a lot.

Zotero Standalone requires a browser add-on to work. You can see if your chromium version will work with the Chrome extension.
You can install Standalone using the (unofficial) PPA as described here,
    https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/25317/install-zotero-standalone-from-ubuntu-linux-mint-ppa/
and it will show up in your applications as you're used to. Without that, you just run Zotero by running the file, i.e. you cd to the directory where you saved and extracted the Zotero gz.tar you downloaded and then you run ./Zotero_linux-i686.

To run Zotero in Firefox, you'll need an up-to date version of the browser -- you shouldn't be running Firefox 30 anway, since it doesn't receive critical security updates. Same, btw, with Ubuntu 13.10 -- you should switch to a LTS version of Ubuntu. If you don't like the 14.04 LTS release, you can always switch to a more lightweight distro like Mint.
