Highlighting in the timeline

Is there a way to highlight the entries in the timeline corresponding to the author? It seens to me that the highlighting reacts to title only.

    And is there a way to format the entries in the timeline according to the citation format e.g. by numbers?

    The highlight function in timelines only works on the text you can see in the timeline, which translates into it only working on titles. There is no way to format the entries differently. If there was though, it could solve the first request.
