Zotero Not starting at all

Hi everyone,

I've tried to install Zotero today - so yes, it's the latest version - on Firefox 37.0.2

I've followed the installation steps and yet when I click on the Z in my browser I get and Error Alert saying "Une erreur s'est produite lors du démarrage de Zotero" (an error occured when strating Zotero)

I've restarted the computer. Nothing

I've uninstalled and re-installed Zotero. Nothing


I have followed the procedure described on https://www.zotero.org/support/reporting_problems; but I didn't find any of the files mentionned in the Firefox profile directory and in the console no line appears to be relevant (all with URLs)

Now I think I need help.

If this is Windows, there's a good chance you're seeing the same problem as this:

As far as we know this is caused by malware, so you should scan your system for malware and possibly reinstall Firefox.

It actually makes sense. I'm afraid my computer have had a couple of malware experiences lately I thought it was all fixed but the reason of my silence the past week is that I'm still working on it.

Now that the computer is clean, it seems to be working fine.
