Upgrade StoragePeculiar failures to save articles from toolbar

Possibly this has been discussed before but I can't find any threads on it...
I use zotero 1.0.7 and now have a database with probably around 150 - 200 entries, taking up approx 96 MB. I've recently been having an odd difficulty with zotero when trying to save references from JSTOR, IngentaConnect and similar databases. When I click the page icon in the toolbar for saving such a reference, the expected red box shows up in the zotero area (if zotero is running), but it is blank with nothing inside it. Quite frequently, this box disappears after about 10 seconds and nothing happens. After I have tried four or five times, the item will appear in my database - though the box is still blank - and then zotero will work normally for a few other items. After that the problem seems to start again.
Is there something wrong? Is my database too large for zotero? Not able to figure out what is going on. I'm using FF3 beta 5.

Can you reproduce this problem? Does it happen after saving several items in rapid succession? Does it happen with a few specific items, if yes could you provide URLs for pages that this happens with.
