Word 2010 - Nothing on ribbon to use Zotero

I have installed the following in Firefox 37.0.2(and adding references succesfully)
Zotero 4.20.6.4
Zotero Word for Windows Integration 3.1.19

Word 2010
Installed the plugin automatically above and checked the zotero.dot file is in Word/Startup
Added the Add-ins Tab
Can see the zotero.dot in Templates and Addins

But nothing to insert a reference or do anything useful.

Please suggest other features to test or install so that I can write and add citations etc. Thank you.
  • Go to View -> Toolbars and make sure Zotero is checked.
  • Thank you Dan. View doesn't have a sub-tab of Toolbars. Word 2010.

Ah, sorry. (I don't have a copy of Word 2010 myself.)

And Zotero.dot is enabled in Templates and Add-ins?

If so, other people have had luck disabling other add-ins.
  • Are there any other ideas?
  • Meaning you don't have other add-ins, or you've tried that?
  • Sorry Dan - our messages crossed.

Yes - I had a plugin called Memento / Reference Manager by Agrawal. When I uninstalled that, the Add-ins button appeared on its own in the Ribbon.

For others reading this, contrary to advice seen around the web, it is not necessary to manually add the Add-ins tab to the ribbon in Office 2010.

If the Zotero ribbon is not self-evident, something has gone wrong in the installation. The key diagonostic here was going to File/options/Add-ins (so not the ribbon) and looking at what was in the Active Applications Add-ins. Then I researched how to unintall the plugin before I raced ahead. The Zotero ribbon came up immediately.

Thanks Dan for you quick help. Faith restored.
