It will be very nice to fix this problem.

BTW, how can I change the font family of the user interface? (I mean font type of the list and info of the papers, not the notes)

Better icons for Hi-Res displays will be in the next minor version of Zotero:
https://github.com/zotero/zotero/commit/af871a3fd53a47561ed590f044bb82176faecf9f
(and are part of the current beta if you're using the Firefox add-on).

I don't think the font family of the user interface is customizable, though.
