Zotero captures metadata from bibliography only incomplete

I use Zotero 1.0.7 and started to embed metadata into the html-code of my bibliography (http://www.novaesium.de/literatur.htm), which were generated by Zotero. But after I captured the data for test purpose back to Zotero I detected that only in case of monographes and journal-articles the bibliographical data were imported completely. The data of articles for example from congress-publications and similar publications are not complete: Instead of „editor“ Zotero declares the name of an editor as „author“ and the title of the book is missing. What's responsible for these failures? Do I have to change something in the preferences, is it a bug of Zotero or is it a problem of the metadata?
Thank you very much for help in advance.

  • Zotero embeds metadata as COinS into exported pages & the OpenURL spec that COinS uses has limitations on the metadata that can be embedded. There is nothing that you need to do to improve it--what you are getting is as good as it gets for now.

Some incremental improvements might be possible through the use of more Dublin Core entities in the future, but the real solution will probably be for Zotero to eventually make use of a richer RDF ontology.
