translator date errror: Journal of Climate (Atypon)

Hi,

I have found a problem with the translator for Journal of Climate (Atypon Journals).

When I import the following article published February 2012, zotero incorrectly records the date as September 2011.
http://journals.ametsoc.org/doi/abs/10.1175/JCLI-D-10-05025.1
The problem does not occur importing the same article from Web of Science.

I'm running zotero 4.0.26.2 for Firefox 36.0.4.

Thanks,
Andrew
  • We take this straight from the RIS data they provide, which has PY as 2011 and Y1 and 9/2011
@aurimas -- it does also have DA set to the correct date, though. Is there any reason we prefer Y1 to DA in RIS import?
  • We don't explicitly prefer it, but it is being treated equally and in that RIS file Y1 comes before DA. We could add logic to prefer DA over other date fields.
  • Hi,

I've noticed translator errors again for the same journal that I reported previously.

For example, this article was published in Feb 2011:
    http://journals.ametsoc.org/doi/full/10.1175/2010JCLI3659.1
Zotero imports the article date as September 22, 2010.

I'm using zotero 4.0.29.15 for firefox.

    Thanks, Andrew

    I'll take a look.
