ACS formatting incorrect

When Zotero generates a citation in ACS formatting, the output format is incorrect. By way of an example:

Duan, L.; Bozoglian, F.; Mandal, S.; Stewart, B.; Privalov, T.; Llobet, A.; Sun, L. Nat Chem 2012, 4 (5), 418–423

Should be:

Duan, L.; Bozoglian, F.; Mandal, S.; Stewart, B.; Privalov, T.; Llobet, A.; Sun, L. Nat. Chem. 2012, 4, 418

There should also be style formatting (the journal name should be italicized, the year in bold, and the volume italicized.
  • Not sure why you're not getting the italics and bold, as you can see in the preview on the style repository, those are part of the citation style.

The issue number in parentheses we include because it should be included for journals that are not continuously paginated per over a year and we have no way to tell, so we err on the side of more info.

The full range versus the specific page number are both given as options in the ACS style guide. I'd say the page range is the dominant format and used in most examples, but we have a version of the style that uses only the first page:
    https://www.zotero.org/styles?q=American Chemical Society (page-first)
  • There may be an issue with the missing periods in the journal abbreviation: The style should be doing this correctly and I'm seeing it correctly locally, but the style preview on the repository is incorrect (although the underlying data is fine).

Not sure what's up with that, I'll see if I can replicate this somehow.
