Cannot add the new file

Report ID: 287131231.

Dear everyone,

I have a big problem with my zotero.
When I cited a new paper from Google chrome, my zotero did not work.
Additionally, I could not creat a new file in the zotero library.
Could you please give me some suggestion to fix this issue?

Thank you

Check your database integrity from the Advanced → Files and Folders pane of the Zotero preferences.

Are you getting this saving from all pages, or a specific one? If the latter, provide an example URL.
Additionally, I could not creat a new file in the zotero library.
What do you mean by this, exactly?

  • Thanks for your advice.

Zotero reports that "Errors were found in your Zotero database.
You can use the database repair tool at http://zotero.org/utils/dbfix to attempt to correct these errors."
What is the next step since I cannot open the link?
  • I'll fix the link, but you can access it here:

    https://www.zotero.org/utils/dbfix
  • Thank you.

I have tried this online tool three times but my database cannot be fixed.
Could you give me an orientation?

You'll have to provide more details about what you're doing and what's not working.
  • I uploaded my zotero.sqlite file to zotero link.
After that, I download the new files (.zip) from zotero, extracted it and copy to my zotero installation folder where I copied and zipped my zotero.sqlite file.
However, when I check the database integrity, the same error was reported again.
  • From your other thread, which I've deleted:
    [JavaScript Error: "Component returned failure code: 0x8052000b (NS_ERROR_FILE_CORRUPTED) [mozIStorageStatement.executeStep]" {file: "chrome://zotero/content/xpcom/db.js" line: 208}]"
If you're still getting this, you likely didn't correctly replace your existing zotero.sqlite file with the repaired one.
  • Dear Dan,

    I have fixed my problem.
There are some files named zotero.sqlite (conflict) and my zotero become normal after I deleted these files.

    Thank you for your supports.
  • Do you have your data directory within Dropbox or a similar syncing system? If so, you should move it out immediately and point Zotero at the new location.
  • Thank you for your suggestion.
