Is there any way to change the entries in "New Entry" menu? I do use e.g. report, letters or email types much more than the default e.g. newspaper article.
It seems to me the better approach is probably for that menu to be smart enough to populate based on, say, the five or ten most common entry types you use. E.g. it should automatically customize itself.
Bruce: not neccesarily. My library might consist for 80% of journal articles saved automatically from repositories, but letters and the like I usually have to add by hand. So personal customization would seem to be better in this case.
Okay, I first read into your suggestion that this would be based on the contents of the library, but it needn't be of course. If it's based on my most frequent choices from the New item menu it's fine of course. Agree with you about need to avoid interface clutter.
Every time you add more UI customization, you add to the complexity.
