Extension not appearing in tool bar

I was refererred to this page after combing https://www.zotero.org/support/troubleshooting_translator_issues for a solution to the extension in Chrome not appearing at all in the tool bar. I have been through the trouble shooting steps and I still have my problem.

Zotero version: 4.0.26
Extension verion: 4.0.26
Chrome 41.0.2272.101 m
Windows 7

It was working a few months ago for a project I worked on last year. I have never customised the translator. I haven't used Zotero for a couple of months and wanted to start using it for a new project when I became aware of this issue. The extension is enabled in Chrome.

    I've tried Amazon. I've tried New York Times. I've tried Nasa Pages that worked last year and space.com that worked last year none of them work now.

    Here are some of the pages where last year the tool bar extension appeared so I could save this information. Now its not appearing in my tool bar on these pages or new pages that I want to save.

    I have also as per the link I was sent tried to see if it woudl appear on random pages at newyorktimes and on amazon but no, it didn't appear.

  • See above edit. And yes I have, please don't tell me what I have adn haven't done.
  • You know what, forget it. I don't really like people like you that assume things. I'll find another product that works.
  • If none of these solutions solve your problem, please make a new thread in the Site Translators category (or use an existing thread if you've already created one) and provide the following:

    URL of a page that isn't working (even if none are)

    A Report ID from after attempting to save an item or, if no URL bar icon is visible, from after refreshing the page.
    Not sure what "people like you that assume things" is supposed to mean. When I responded to your pre-edit post, you hadn't yet provided any URLs, and you still haven't provided a Report ID. (If you can't provide one from Chrome, you should tell us that.) We're quite happy to help you, but we can't do it unless you provide the information we ask for.

    that's OK, but note that the troubleshooting page does list, as troubleshooting steps:
    - URL of a page that isn't working (even if none are)
    - A Report ID from after attempting to save an item or, if no URL bar icon is visible, from after refreshing the page.

    neither of which you had provided when Dan posted. So he was stating a fact, not an assumption.

    I'd be happy to try to help you if you're still interested, but you'd have to assume good faith on the part of people posting here.
