Standalone Word Plugin for the new MS Word 2015 on Mac

I have the current beta of the new MS Word 2015 on my Mac installed and tried to use the Zotero plug in. As expected, the plug in wouldn't work. My question is if anyone knows if there will be an update for the plug in soon?

    likely not any time soon. And it's Office 2016, so still a good bit out:

    It's unclear to me in what way waiting until release will fix the listed issues.

    It doesn't. But going by past experience, Zotero releases updates in time for compatibility with final releases (which does have the advantage of being able to work with the actual pre-release version rather than being subject to changes between an early beta and the final release).

    Obviously, if you want to work on it yourself, I'm sure patches that provide Office 2016 compatibility for the beta will be gladly accepted.

    I wish I could contribute (other than complaining), but that's way above my coding pay scale.
