My accessed dates are not importing from endnote. How can this be remedied.?

after doing my update with the ' after the bar, the accessed date still doesn't show up. just an fyi. So that was not the problem

Update your translators via Preferences -> General -> Update Now and give this another go.

Somewhere (either the RIS "specification" or EndNote user manual) it says that dates should be entered in YYYY/MM/DD/other format. I think the language is (or used to be) stricter for access dates. In any case, Zotero should now try harder to interpret the date if provided in other formats.

Zotero should be able to handle them as is. I can't imagine it being pleasant to re-enter those dates.

I can do them all at once in Endnote, is it worth it? It'll take a long while to import my 5,000 references into Zotero so I just want to give it my best shot.

You should try importing a few references first to make sure that everything is working fine, but you shouldn't need to change the date format. You can do it if you want to, of course.
