Kndle Highlights will not copy

When I got to my kindle highlights from https://kindle.amazon.com/your_highlights and select multiple highlights, copy them and then paste them into a note, it doesn't paste. the only way I can get the paste to work is if I select a single highlight. That's just to much work to copy all of my highlights one at a time.

there's probably something odd about the formatting that prevents it from pasting. If you don't care much about how the formatting look, you can probably just post to a text editor or so as an intermediary step.
