Zotero icon in Safari (4.0.26.1.), Firefox (36.0) - Yosemite

Hello,

I wonder if you could advise me on the following:

Where can I find the Zotero icon on Safari and Firefox?

OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)
Zotero standalone (4.0.26.1)
Firefox (36.0)
Safari Version 8.0.3 (10600.3.18)

    In safari, the icon is to the left of the URL bar and is always present, just changes state. In Firefox, the icon is in the URL bar as appears only on supported pages (though that will change in the next Zotero release). See https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/no_address_bar_icon but I'm guessing that you just need to install the appropriate browser extensions https://www.zotero.org/download/

    Your guess was correct. For some reason, the connector for Safari was not installed on this device. The Zotero icon is on with Safari, tested, great.

    With Firefox, however, I was not successful with the installed add-ons. Your advice would be appreciated.

    "I was not successful" meaning what exactly? (note that Firefox, too, requires an add-on in addition--or instead of--Standalone).
