Scandinavian Journal of Medicine & Science in Sports
Hi!
I am looking for a style for the Scandinavian Journal of Medicine & Science in Sports. One example is given:
"Messner K. Meniscal regeneration or meniscal transplantation? Scand J Med Sci Sports 1999: 9: 162–167)"
In the text I need to cite: author (year).
Can you help me to find the right style? Here are some more informations from the author guidelines!
Thanks!!
References* should be cited in alphabetical order, regardless of chronology, and without numbers. In the text references should include the authors and the year of publication in parenthesis, e.g. (Saltin, 1998), except when the authors name is part of the sentence, e.g.“Saltin (1998) showed that...”. When several references are cited together they should be in chronological order, separated by semicolons. When a referenced article is written by two authors both names should be included; for three or more authors the first name only is given, followed by “et al.”. Unpublished material may be referred to sparingly in the text, by giving the author’s name and initials followed by “unpublished observation” or “personal communication”; it should not appear in the list of references.
References should be written in accordance with Index Medicus (e.g. Messner K. Meniscal regeneration or meniscal transplantation? Scand J Med Sci Sports 1999: 9: 162–167).

to check if there's something close, which I'd expect to be the case.
I have to write the DATE behind the NAME OF JOURNAL. Mostly the date is written directly behind the NAME OF THE AUTHORS.
Is there another way to find this style?
Thanks...
I have to cite like this:
"Messner K. Meniscal regeneration or meniscal transplantation? Scand J Med Sci Sports 1999: 9: 162–167"
Can I create my own style or can I only change one style (only the date)?
you can technically start from scratch and create your own style, but you almost certainly will want to just modify something that's a good fit otherwise.
