for certain tags, automatically add other tags

It would be nice if other relevant tags could be automatically added when you add a tag, according to some rule you specify. In other words, if the tag is "MgB2", a superconductor, then the rule could automatically add "superconductor" to the list of tags.

    it's a nice idea--I don't think there's going to be much of a chance to see this implemented any time soon, to be honest, though.
    That said, an "If this than that"-style add-on would be a neat addition to Zotero and wouldn't be super hard to do.

    To rephrase the original question though, this is another iteration of hierarchical tag system (at least from the example. The ifttt system would let you combine unrelated tags, but I don't think there's a large need for that). IIRC we still don't have a good idea of how to implement it in terms of UX. Maybe we should flesh out all the details on github.
