Citing several essays/articles from a single edited book/volume in SBL Style
I wish to cite several essays/articles from a single book (one editor, multiple authors) in SBL style. The options seem to be:-
1. Create a zotero item in my library (with Item Type "book section") for each and every essay/article required. I think this can be done by duplicating the existing Item type "book", changing the Item Type to "book section", and then adding/modifying author, title as required. So, for example, if I want to cite 6 separate articles from the same book, i will end up with 7 zotero library items (1 with Item Type = "book" - the "master" if you like; and 6 with Item Type = "book section")
2. Having just the one Item type "book", and then appending text on a case-by-case basis as a prefix for each citation required.
Will none/either/both of these methods produce correct footnotes and bibliographies, given the long first / short subsequent footnote requirement of SBL? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Mike

bwiernikYou can automate several of the steps for Option 1 using the Zutilo plugin. It has a function to "Create Book Section" that will duplicate the Book item and change it to Book Section, so that you get right to entering the chapter titles and authors.
