How to download ALL Zotero records into one WORD bibliography

Hi folks:

Have not been able to find this answer on fora or on google. I am looking to turn my COMPLETE zotero library into a word bibliography...everything...I am not trying to pull in works cited...just hoping for a straightforward way to get my whole bibliography in print for a meeting next week.

Thanks,
Patrick
  • in Zotero (the app, not the website), click on "My Library". The in the middle panel, select all (ctrl+a or cmd+a on a mac). Then right click on them (ctrl+click on a mac) and select "Create Bibliography from Selected Items". Choose the style you want and RTF as the output format. Save the file. You can open that file in Word. It contains your full bibliography in the selected style.
  • ok, but I am trying to complete this for more than a 1,000 records, do I have to click select on each entry and save after each ten entries that show on the screen?

    Thanks,
    Patrick
  • I'm confused - where do you only see 10 entries? If you're looking online, you'd be seeing 25, but otherwise what you say, yes. But in the Zotero Software (which is what you should be using for this), you'll see all 1000 at once.
  • The Zotero Standalone or the Firefox add-on do not limit you to 10 items at a time. You can select My Library to display all of your records. Do a select all, then follow the instructions above. You cannot do this one-or-two-step procedure when you are viewing the items on Zotero.org.
