Word freezes after every use of Word Add in until pressing CTRL + ALT + DEL
Can not get the Word-Plugin to work.
After starting the logging, I created a new Word document, and clicked on edit citation. I got the expected error message that I first have to create a citation, but then Word completely froze.
The same happens when I try to insert a citation by using the most left button in the add-in, word will just freeze, and appears to be waiting for something.
Sometimes, when I hit CTRL + ALT + DEL while Word is in the freeze-state, it will trigger some kind of resolve, making it work for this one instance.
The logging was on standalone version, but error appears to persist when using the Firefox Plugin. Word Version was Word 2013 on Windows 7 Professional.

@Dan - is there anything in the debug?
Also, I reinstalled Word, all the plugins, and Zotero itself multiple times
is there any way to change that, or are you still able to read the important stuff?
Ideally Simon would look at this. I don't think Aurimas knows much about the Word add-on, either.
1. Open Start menu and type in cmd to find the cmd.exe entry.
2. Right-click cmd.exe and select Run as Administrator (we assume you have administrative rights)
3. In the window that opens up, type
sfc /scannow
This will scan your computer for any corrupted or missing system files and will attempt to repair them. You may be asked to insert a Windows CD/DVD
Another recommendation on Windows support forums is to perform Windows Safety Scan http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx though I'm not sure how much better it is than just a regular virus scan.
Borrowed from http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-files/windows-8-the-remote-procedure-call-failed-and-did/c974d458-e89d-42a8-a86d-e2f309cd347b
I could not do the first thing, since everything in the RPC was set as it should be, but the system file check found some issues, and after resolving those, it now seems to work.
Thanks very much, finally I can use Zotero to its full extent and functionality.
If anything will come up again, I know where to post it :D
For now, it seems to work.
