How to enter Zotero listing for an ongoing study

I need to cite an ongoing study that has an associated website (http://monitoringthefuture.org/). My output style will be APA 5th edition. Does anyone know what item type would be the best format for this citation?

Thank you,
Jennifer
  • I don't think APA has much in terms of rules about that either. I'd probably just do webpage.

The Monitoring the Future group publishes Books, Technical Reports, Journal Articles, and several other publication types that are essentially Reports (monographs, occasional papers, progress reports, white papers, etc.). The group's Congressional Testimony papers are published in the Congressional Record.

Edit. Essentially everything on the website is more formally published in one of these more permanent formats.
  • Also, per APA if you are simply mentioning the ongoing study without citing a specific source (e.g., "The data were gathered as part of the Monitoring the Future study..."), you simply need to include the URL in-text. If desired, you could instead cite on of the study's publications (perhaps the first one where the methods were described in detail).
