Changing items in public collections

Please add an option to prevent members of Zotero groups to change items which were added by other members. Let it be possible only for group owner and item creators.

    (you know you can restrict members from changing items, right? The only thing that's not possible is to, at the same time, allow members to add items.)

    Yes, I know. But it might be reasonable to restrict users from editing every item. Somebody can make a mistake or occasionally delete some items. Maybe a special category of members is needed - "moderators" or something like that, who is allowed to edit anything.

    That would be an administrator, that exists already.
    More finely-grained user permissions have certainly been discussed in the past and I think are still generally on the agenda, though. So what you're after is for a group of users to be able to add items but not modify them, correct? Ideally they'd be allowed to modify the ones they added, though. I think something along those lines is a pretty frequent request, e.g. for class projects, so it might happen, but not anytime soon.
