Thesis entries should have "place" and "department" fields

I'd like to format citations of theses as per these examples from PLoS Medicine and PLoS ONE, but they require place and / or department information, which currently aren't included in Zotero's Thesis type (v 1.5-sync3.2).

Britt BB (1993) Pneumatic postcranial bones in dinosaurs and other archosaurs [PhD thesis]. Calgary: University of Calgary.

Minja H (2001) Introducing insecticide treated mosquito nets in the Kilombero Valley (Tanzania): Social and cultural dimensions [PhD thesis]. Swiss Tropical Institute, University of Basel.

Was anything ever done about this? It's been almost four years, and the Thesis template still has no separate field for a department.

Are we to supposed to include the department in the University field? If so, then the label for the field is a misnomer.

Besides, what if some bibliographic styles want the department included in the reference and other styles do not?
  • place is now there, department isn't - having department separately is a major undertaking, because there also isn't a CSL variable for it, so yes, I'd put the department in the University field.
