Web page loading stops when sync 1.5-3.2 enabled

My sync preview works fine on my laptop, which runs on Window XP Home, but on my desktop with Vista 32-bit Home there seems to be a conflict between Firefox 3.03 and sync preview 3.2 since once it is enabled Web pages won't load, they just search endlessly. Occasionally I get a "stopped" notification on the bottom left of the browser page. ???

    Are you running any other Firefox extensions on that machine?

    See if you have any proxy entries in the Proxies pane of the Zotero preferences.

    Thank you thank you thank you -- I removed a bunch of proxies that I didn't even know were there. All seems to be running fine now.

    Do you recall what the proxy entries were?

    i'm sorry i removed them so quickly i didn't take note, though I do in the earlier Zotero ( pre sync version) I had a proxy to my University's Library system. Sorry I can't be of more help.
