Editing references (within documents) from a different computer

I saw my friends editing (adding/removing) references in documents in multiple computers taking the endnote library (.enl) file along with the original document in a flash drive.

Is such a thing possible with zotero? What I mean is, can I add new references to a document from a different computer having a zotero with a different library? I suspect that this is possible as I remember zotero has an option "Store references in document".
  • Just tried this and found that it was possible with zotero (both for adding new references and re-citing old references already within the document). Even for re-citing references you don't need to copy the original zotero library to the new computer (Unlike endnote). Amazing!

I just need a zotero on the new computer that's all!

    Thank you zotero! :)
  • Though you should really be working with the same Zotero library on multiple computers. If you add references from different libraries, you will only be able to edit metadata for the references that are linked to the current library.
