new site? - Translator reading online Journal of Extension as web page

The translator for the online Journal of Extension reads journal articles as a web page. I'm posting here because I'm not sure if this is a bug or just this site was never added in the first place.

http://www.joe.org/joe/2014december/iw5.php/www.joe.org/joe/2014december/iw6.php

Since it is online, can the translator use the article code (on the example above, 6IAW5, put into the "pages" field, with "Article" ahead of it? So the citation would read ... 52 (6), Article 6IAW5 ... [in APA format, anyway].

Thanks.
  • Not a bug - there's just no translator for the journal and Zotero is picking up the very poor metadata on the page. There's also no decent other structured data we could use, so I don't think we'd be adding this as a translator any time soon (it's technically possible, though, if someone is interested. It's just very messy). You could point the publisher towards https://www.zotero.org/support/dev/exposing_metadata , which would also allow better import to other referencing tools.
  • I will pass this on to the publisher. Thanks!
  • Hey evildonut,
I just cobbled together a JoE translator, but it is not consistent enough yet because the web page formats change after a few years. I will continue improving it, but you can put this in your translator directory:
