Bibliography not respecting 2 columns format

If I insert a bibliography in a document already divided into two columns, the bibliography is created in a single column format, spanning across the document width. What can I do to have the bibliography repsect document formatting?

Sorry, I did not mention that I'm using OpenOffice 3 and the latest Zotero extension.

Are you able to readjust the columns after inserting the bibliography (and before a refresh)?
