Zotero won't save Google Scholar case but no error; Report ID 949790485

Zotero will not save the following case on Google Scholar: http://scholar.google.com/scholar_case?case=15539128432567109896

Steps to reproduce:
1. Have Firefox 34.0.5 with Zotero 4.0.24.1 and navigate to that URL.
2. Use the address bar icon to "Save to Zotero (Google Scholar)".
3. Zotero will pop up a notification saying "Saving to My Library" that will stay on the screen for a few moments and then disappear. However, Zotero does not actually save the item to the library.

I suspect this error is occuring because the case name does not have a dash ("-") in it like the vast majority of cases on Google Scholar. I'm not sure if this is an aberration in the data that is not worth changing the code for, or whether it is a valid test case that should be accomodated.
  • (confirmed and looking into it. I think you're right about the hyphen, but might take a little to fix this unless fbennett who wrote that part of the code has time to get to it before me).

Found another problematic case. http://scholar.google.com/scholar_case?case=10394955686617635825 Again, no hyphen/dash in the case name/title.

I'm starting to suspect that this kind of case name/title might not be an aberration and that it is instead a valid test case that should be accommodated.

Looks like the service has grown a new data layout, or is doing so by degrees. I'll find a way to fix it.

Although America has probably got the most rigorous and idiosyncratic citation requirements among the world's jurisdictions, no one there seems yet able to produce structured metadata in a web page. I do hope this situation changes for the better at some point.
  • I've filed a repair. It will need to clear code vetting, but it's in the works.
