ScienceDirect

I can't seem to save items from the ScienceDirect journal 'Animal Behaviour'. I've been trying to access the article 'Choosy reef fish select cleaner fish that provide high-quality service' (Bsharry & Schäffer, 2002) 63:557-564

Here's the link I've been using:

http://ezproxy.ouls.ox.ac.uk:2070/science?_ob=ArticleURL&_udi=B6W9W-45M7PX2-K&_user=126524&_coverDate=03%2F31%2F2002&_alid=807540528&_rdoc=1&_fmt=high&_orig=search&_cdi=6693&_sort=d&_docanchor=&view=c&_ct=1&_acct=C000010360&_version=1&_urlVersion=0&_userid=126524&md5=cb2297b3909fbca8a0ad3dc2c034df8f

I've followed all the troubleshooting steps found here, http://www.zotero.org/documentation/troubleshooting_translator_issues, but to no avail.

Thanks a lot. I love Zotero!
  • I can't test your proxyserver. The page does import with no proxy:
    http://dx.doi.org/10.1006/anbe.2001.1923

I don't know how the translator would have any idea that you were using sciencedirect, given your URL.
  • Hmm... It still doesn't work with that page (without the proxy). :( Thanks for your help so far!
  • Are you getting an error, or do you not see the icon in the address bar at all? Do you get it on any other ScienceDirect pages?

(The URL should be recognized through Zotero's EZproxy support.)
  • In both cases (i.e. with and without proxy) I see the icon in the address bar. I've tried another handful ScienceDirect pages (without the Oxford proxy) from a variety of journals and though I see the icon for each, it won't save. It has been working for Nature.com, Science, PNAS...
  • Is "Accept third-party cookies" disabled in the Privacy pane of your Firefox prefs? If so, either enable it or install the 1.0 dev XPI until 1.0.8 comes out.
  • Nope. The box is ticked. :S
  • Send debug output for a save attempt to support@zot....org, and we'll take a look.
