Plug in disappeared from word

My plug in has disappeared from word. I have reinstalled plugin as one of the forum posts suggests and it says it is complete but no toolbar has appeared.
Zotero verion 4.0.23
Firefox version 34.0.5

Any Suggestions please.

    Update Zotero to version 4.0.24.1 in Firefox, then try again to re-install the Word add-on from the Cite tab of the Zotero preferences.

    I have done that and still no tool bar. I do have a small icon next to the 'window' and 'help' at the top of the screen than enables me to insert citations but no shortcut toolbar appears. I'm using a Mac.

    oh OK, yeah that's going to be trickier--there is one thread here that does have the walk-through for the solution, you can try searching for it, but for now I'd just make do with the apple script menu (and the shortcuts it displays).
