New computer with C and D drives--want to run Firefox in 256GB C: drive and save to D
Hi Everyone, My old hard disks are full. So I got a brand new computer with a 256 GB SSD in C: Drive + 2 TB hard drive SATA 7200 in D:
Is it advisable to create the custom directory in D: of the 9GB I have stored but not yet downloaded to the new computer?
Will this change the storage on other machines? In other words, does Mozilla sync change the directories or is that specific to Zotero? I'd like to put all the heavy stuff in D and save C for running programs.
Is this a bad idea for other reasons? I must say Zotero has gotten slow with the thousands of references in my library.
Thanks, Tom

noksagtIt is no problem to do that; you can set the storage directory differently on each machine you sync (indeed, this is the only practical way for cross-platform syncing to work). Zotero syncs metadata and references, but does not sync many program settings.
