Error! Reference source not found.

I inserted footnotes (with the Zotero.dot plugin) to a word 2000 document and now, after some days successfully working with the document I'm getting the message "Error! Reference source not found" instead of my footnotes. I seem to be unable to recover the inserted notes (and I had there not only citations but also comments and notes). Is there any possibility to recover this?

    Whenever I try to footnote it appears "Zotero could not load the component required to communicate with your word processor. Please ensure that the appropriate extension is installed and try again" though I am using firefox and I could save documents from amazon in my library.
