Zotero Stand alone does not recognize my credentials

Hello,

I have just installed Zotero.
However, I am trying to sync but I keep getting an error message saying that the server did not accept my user name and password.

Is it because my user name contains a "ç" and a "~"?

SInce I cannot change my user nam, what can I do?

Can you provide a Debug ID for a sync attempt that fails?

(you could also try syncing with your e-mail address as username if your in a pinch, but better to troubleshoot this properly as per Dan)

OK, thanks. We'll look into that, but in the meantime you should just use your email address instead, as adamsmith says.
