Not syncing, says I have reached storage quota but I bought unlimited storage

I purchase Unlimited Storage for my Zotero, however, a little yellow alert triangle shows up when I try to sync, it says:

My Library

You have reached your Zotero File Storage quota. Some files were not uploaded. Other Zotero data will continue to sync to the server.

See your zotero.org account settings for additional storage options.

25S27X82.zip (295KB)
  • Can you provide a Debug ID for a sync attempt that produces that error?
  • Hi Dan, I sent the Debug ID straight in from the Advanced Preferences Debug Output logging... I did not save the number I'm sorry. I did however just get a different error message, this one had a Report ID it said I should pot to the forum: Report ID 1310607201 This one did not say anything about the storage issue, it just said a file sync error occurred.

    Thanks
  • We need the Debug ID.
  • OK when it happens again I will save the Debug ID and post it here thank you/
  • Well, probably not necessary. The answer is almost certainly just that you're syncing from the wrong account. Check your Sync preferences.
  • Ah yes ok, I see. Thank you. Now how to explain the new error message I'm receiving above, with Report ID 1310607201, after I signed into the proper account?
  • There are a bunch of errors in there, so I'd need to see one for the first sync of Zotero after restarting Firefox.

But you're getting a bunch like this:
File '[...]' not found after processing download null/7M2KAFZV in Zotero.Sync.Storage.processDownload()
Which shouldn't happen, and usually is due to security software on the system interfering with Firefox's ability to write to the disk. That's much less common on a Mac, but if you're running any security software, try temporarily disabling it or adjusting its settings. This could probably also happen on some network share setups.
  • Hi, Thank you I will look into the security software possibility. In the meantime I got another error message having to do with storage capacity, it reads:

The group 'Axcient' has reached its Zotero File Storage quota. Some files were not uploaded. Other Zotero data will continue to sync to the server.
The group owner can increase the group's storage capacity from the storage settings section on zotero.org.
    CCN.key (39318KB)

However, I don't see where I can change the group's storage capacity even though I am the group owner.

    The Debug ID is D1564678354.

You're not the owner. You're just an admin, at least with the account you're posting from. Storage draws from the owner's quota. You can have the current owner transfer ownership to you, though.
  • Ah I see, yes I am an admin not the owner of that group, I misread that. However, it is still showing a yellow triangle explanation point error message next to my sync icon. So should I assume that only pertains to the Axcient group and that the rest of my Zotero is syncing?

Thank you for all your help tonight, this has been Paul's assistant Sarah Beth and I am rather new to Zotero, you have helped me immensely so far.
  • So should I assume that only pertains to the Axcient group and that the rest of my Zotero is syncing?
There could still be an issue in another group — there are two others that the account is only a member of — but all the ones the account is an owner of should work fine, yes.
